Jessie Lane is here today to talk about some favorite characteristics in a man. We all have our favorites when it comes to books and the men in them that we love, so first here’s Jessie’s list and you can sound off in the comments with your favorite characteristics! Also, be sure to check out the giveaway below - a Big Bad Bite prize pack!
Does tall, dark, and handsome get your attention? How about the way a man dresses? Can just his cologne lure you in? Is he the bad boy or the hometown hero? What is it in a man, that with just one look from him, has you wishing he would act out your naughtiest dreams? Well, here’s a list of some of the aspects of the kind of man we drool over. Don’t be surprised if after you read our new book, Big Bad Bite, you’re able to draw a few parallels between this list and the men we write about.
The Alpha Attitude - What girl doesn’t crave a man that just exudes strength and dominance? We certainly do! The man doesn’t have to be alpha of the pack to be alpha in the relationship (or the bedroom). Like Lucas Stark from the Rock Chick series by Kristen Ashley or Nathan Malone from Lora Leigh’s Elite Ops Series. Both men will stop at nothing to get what it is they want. Warning! You may melt into a puddle of goo at their feet in the process!
That Bad Boy Gene - Don’t you know that bad boys need love too? Have you read Knight or Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley? No? Well you should. Knight and Tack may be two men from the wrong side of the tracks, but hot damn, they are worthy of some attention. Your mind screams at you to run away in the opposite direction. You know for damn sure that he doesn’t have good intentions. Still, you bite your tongue as he prowls up to you and proceeds to take your breath away. *swoon away ladies, swoon away*Tattooed - Thank you sweet baby Jesus for inventing the art of tattooing! Whether it’s the tribal band around those sculpted biceps, or that blazing phoenix covering his back that bares your recent scratch marks. Needless to say, tattoos get us going. No matter the location, they’re sexy as hell on just about any man, especially if your name is involved in the ink. Brian Ross from Cherrie Lynn’s Ross Siblings Series with his sexy tattoos and it’s-all-for-the-ladies piercing, comes to mind.
Loyal, Honorable and Protective – Whether it’s the kick ass guy devoted to his motorcycle club, or the soldier committed to his unit, men that have a strong sense of loyalty and honor to those they care about around them are beyond attractive. They’re addictive. It’s also a good indication that they will be loyal to you, as well. Well, that is unless you go and mess with their friends or family members in a truly foul way. Then watch out! Things could get ugly quick. Maya Banks guys in the KGI Series are excellent examples for these characteristics. Kinky In The Sack – That’s right. We said it. They not only know how to work what their Mama gave them, but they’ve got a wicked imagination in the bedroom. We won’t go into any naughty details that would make you blush like a neon red XXX sign, but you’ve got to know that there is more to life than the missionary position. Whether, it’s whipped cream, handcuffs, or a good slap on the bottom, we love a man who knows how to keep a love life alive. Want a good series to read based on this? Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers Series will steam up your bedroom windows.
We hope you enjoyed our list of what we look for in a man, but in real life and in our books! Now tell us what some of your favorite qualities are in the comments section below. Or give us a fictional character that you feel embodies one of these qualities! We need new book boyfriends to drool over.
