Guest Post & Giveaway: HelenKay Dimon

HelenKay Dimon is here today to talk about her newest release WE'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS and to giveaway a copy! Please welcome HelenKay!

Thanks for having me here today to talk about my newest release, WE'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS.

Webpage
As you can tell by the title, this is a holiday romance. It actually takes place in my fictional town of Holloway, West Virginia, in the few weeks before Christmas. Spence and Lila had a one-time (three day) fling a few months before and meet up again right before the holidays. Lila has moved to the next town over, so what was supposed to be a weekend of fun-then-go-our-separate-ways turns into something bigger. After all, it's pretty hard to ignore your fling when she's standing right in front of you at the grocery store.

WE'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS is actually the third in a series of related books. Spence's brother, Austin, was the hero in a story called IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS WITHOUT YOU. I love writing connected books about friends and family members. This one is special to me because Spence is the older brother who is a bit less connected to real life. He's very smart, like super high IQ smart. He does his job, loves his family, keeps his emotions in check and acts like he's supposed to. He's solid and stable. Basically, he's not ready to get knocked on his butt over his feelings for Lila. Or, as Spence describes it to Lila, he's "that other Thomas boy" and everyone in town is waiting and watching to see if he takes a fall. For Lila, he does.

Honestly, I love writing and reading about that sibling. You know the one who separates himself a bit and maybe is more of a loner than the others. When that guy finds his happy ending it's all the more powerful. Add in the holidays, especially one as connected to family and tradition as Christmas, and the romantic fall feels even bigger.

I hope all of you find happiness this holiday season and get to spend it with the people you love. Best wishes!

I have one ebook copy (from Amazon or B&N, winner's choice) of WE'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS to giveaway to one commenter on this post. Just let me know what you look forward to most around the holidays. Please leave an email address in your post - giveaway runs through 12/22. Good luck!

No man likes having his bedroom skills described as forgettable, but that's just what Lila Payne does when she runs into Spencer Thomas again. When she discovers that he'd lied about his name during their brief three-day romp a few months before, she's so angry that she pretends she doesn't remember him.

Spence regrets his deception, but not as much as he regrets that their time together didn't last longer. When she shows up in his town, looking to revitalize her uncle's mountain resort, Spence is determined to help. Maybe rescuing Lila from a hopeless renovation project will get him in her good graces—and back in her bed.

Lila has no interest in being rescued, and Spence is insulted by her stubborn rebuffs and her "faulty" memory. But when rehab work turns into an after-hours meeting, the two of them are in for a night that just might prove unforgettable…

  1. Yay. I am first. I love the family stuff. All the noise and mess of siblings stuck together for days telling their side of how things happened. ;+)

  4. As a parent of a 12 1/2 yo & the other 6 children between 25-32, I find that I miss/cherish those times when the kids were younger & still held the wonder of Santa in their heads. But, I have my daughter's children & my stepson's children to still feel Christmas through a child's eyes. Spending time with family is an important part of Christmas for me. This book sounds like a great holiday read. I'm adding it to my holiday TBR list. Thanks for the giveaway!
